Gaining stardom in country music thanks to being part of The Judds, Wynonna Judd continues to perform even after her mother, Naomi Judd, passed away. Back in 2022, The Judds landed a spot in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Although thrilled about what she accomplished alongside her mother, Judd has taken somewhat of a step back recently as she enjoyed being a grandmother. Feeling fulfilled with her life at the moment, Judd offered a glimpse into her life and what an average night with her granddaughter, Kaliyah, might look like.
While appearing on TODAY With Jenna & Friends, Judd revealed she decided to unplug from the world of technology. For any person with a phone, they completely understand how distracting social media can be. To stop this, Judd insisted, “I don’t have a computer.” Not one to care much about social media and constantly updating her Instagram, apparently, she isn’t one for television either. “I don’t watch television unless it’s planned ’cause I’m raising my 2-year-old granddaughter, I listen to her.”
One of the main rules instituted at Judd’s farm was simple as the singer demanded, “We don’t do phones at dinner.” She continued, “My life on the farm is simple and sweet, which is what we need more of. And I do what I have to do to learn how to just live off the road. ‘Cause I was on the road at 17, so I never got to learn how to do life outside of show business.
Wynonna Judd Shared The One Person Causing Her To Lose Her Mind
With Judd only wanting a simple life surrounded by her family and friends, she noted her order of goals. “Food, family, and fun is my goal.”
As for Kaliyah, she entered the world back in March 2022 when Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelly, received temporary leave from a jail sentence. Hit with a parole violation from a 2016 arrest, Judd decided to take her granddaughter in as Kelly dealt with her legal troubles.
While Judd did nothing but praise her granddaughter, the country icon shared the one part she wasn’t a fan of. And it just so happened to be Miss Rachel. Known by children all over the country, Judd said, “I’m about to lose my mind. I just can’t talk like that. I wish I could be that animated, but I just don’t know how.”
