Sand and salt deserts, glaciers and one of the most remote islands in the world. These are just some of the extremes of Chile, a country that had dozens of tourist destinations evaluated by readers of the Tripadvisor website, which now publishes the best of the year.

1. Santiago

Main metropolis and starting point for other tourist destinations in Chile, the capital Santiago has its own light. It has a preserved historic center, viewpoints overlooking the Andes Mountains, charming and bohemian neighborhoods like Bellavista and great restaurants, in addition to being surrounded by wineries.

2. San Pedro de Atacama
