Say what you like about Demi Moore, but I think we all have to agree that she looks fantastic at 61.
Only last week did we hail her beauty after her wardrobe choice for Dolce and Gabbana’s 40th anniversary party turned heads online. And well, it appears that dissecting Demi Moore’s outfits is all the rage right now, after another appearance at a different event a few weeks back got people talking.
This time it was when the actress and mom-of-three’s stepped out at the Carolina Herrera Fashion Show that saw her scrutinized by the masses. While the general consensus was that she – once again – looked absolutely flawless given her age, there was quite a lot said about her knees, of all things…
We think we’re pretty safe in assuming that when it comes to fans expressing their opinions, actress Demi Moore knows the drill. Having been in the spotlight for decades, she’s seen and heard virtually all there is to see and hear over the years, so these days we reckon it would take a lot to say something that might provoke a reaction.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that people aren’t going to try.
Last week fans flocked to Demi’s Instagram posts in the wake of an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dolce & Gabbana, many of them praising the 61-year-old translucent outfit and jaw-dropping figure.
There were some detractors (there always are) but for the most part people were in agreement that for someone set to turn 62 later this year, she’s done a pretty good job of stalling Father Time where her appearance is considered.
Indeed, the actress has never been afraid to make bold fashion choices, often donning short skirts, see-through dresses (see last week’s number), and sky-high heels. At the Carolina Herrera Fashion Show earlier this year, Moore opted for an eye-catching mini-dress that flaunted almost every inch of her long legs.
And while most of the minor amount of criticism was aimed at the idea that she should have worn something more “age appropriate”, there were others who took it upon themselves to deliver cutting remarks about her… knees.
Her knees look old,” wrote one person, whatever that means.
“Her face looks 48, but her legs look 65,” wrote another.
A third added: “Oh my why her knee is all wrinkled? I’m 65/years my knee doesn’t have wrinkles!“
Of course, we’re more than sure than Demi Moore is confident enough in her own body to let the noise of the haters fade into obscurity. Besides, she has enough on her plate without being distracted by such trivial matters.
The actress made headlines last year for her support of ex-husband Bruce Willis in light of his fronto-temporal dementia diagnosis.
Rumors insisted that the star had even moved in with Willis’s family to better help her former husband in his desperate hour of need, though Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, later refuted those claims.
