But to my surprise, the owner, Paul, personally answered and patiently guided me through various troubleshooting steps. When all attempts failed, he acknowledged the need to visit my home for the repair.
While he worked on the furnace, we engaged in conversation about Bobby and his deployment. I mentioned in passing that I tried to address the issue with my husband, but his absence due to deployment made it impossible for him to see and fix it.
After Paul completed the repair, I was anxious about the cost. However, when he handed me the slip with this message, any apprehension dissipated. Paul explained that the $1 was merely a jest and asked me to thank my husband for his service.
