WATCH: Jessica Tarlov of the FNC Discusses Conservative Co-Hosts: “No, No, No—When I’m done with this, there will be a commercial break.”

In a strange occurrence that occurred back in the spring of 2024, Jessica Tarlov of Fox News Channel vehemently objected to the network cutting to a commercial break so she could wrap up a response that attacked former President Donald Trump. Tarlov is a leftist opposing voice on FNC’s discussion show “The Five,” and her criticisms of the former president frequently garner media attention. Tension frequently arises during the ensuing back and forth with the conservative co-hosts.

The panel’s discussion focused on Joe Biden’s and numerous other Democrats’ constant accusations that former President Donald Trump poses a “threat to Democracy.” Co-host Jeanine Pirro implied during the discussion that Democrats had used the Department of Justice as a tool to bring charges against Donald Trump. She added that because of the J6 Capitol protests, Democrats are trying to have Trump taken off state ballots.

But before Tarlov could respond, Jesse Watters interrupted, pointing out that they were about to take a commercial break. “That conversation was really insightful. I’ll make an effort to cover as many of the topics as I can. Tarlov said, but Watters interrupted. “In roughly 30 seconds, we will have a commercial break,” he stated.

Tarlov went on to provide a monologue explaining why the Biden administration’s current rhetoric isn’t having the desired effect on voters. She asserted that Americans like to hear about initiatives that solve pressing problems like the economy and healthcare costs, suggesting that voters may not be as concerned about Trump’s actions leading up to the 2020 election if it is hard to put food on the table.

“No, no, no. When I finish this, it’s commercial break. Thus, the “threat to democracy” argument is ineffective. And all of the good pollsters have pointed out to the Biden administration that the messaging that works is really about the everyday things that people want to hear, like reducing the cost of prescription drugs, reducing the debt and deficit, and keeping Medicare and Social Security intact. All of those things are part of the economy, right? Considering the future, such as how you’re doing and how your family will fare,” Tarlov remarked.

She insisted that Trump’s actions during the 2020 race were abhorrent, but she also criticized the notion that Joe Biden poses a threat to the Republic. Tarlov also attacked Trump’s legal actions, which raised doubts about the election’s validity. At the same time, she asserted—a allegation Pirro denied—that the former president is terrified of the legal disputes he confronts.

That point is undoubtedly present. However, given what Donald Trump and his team of lawyers attempted to accomplish in 2020, it is utterly insane to claim that Joe Biden poses a threat to democracy. To thwart a free and fair election, he sent attorneys across the nation. Many of them have vowed to do this. Many of them are still awaiting trial, and he is making every effort to avoid appearing in any of these courtrooms because he is undoubtedly terrified of what will occur there,” she continued.
