WATCH: During a furious hearing battle, Kash Patel exposes Nancy Pelosi

Speaking to a friendly Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) during his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, January 30, President Donald Trump’s FBI director-designate Kash Patel discussed the events of January 6, 2021, revealing who he believed was primarily responsible for the day’s events.

By doing this, the FBI Director nominee held two prominent Democrats, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, accountable for the day’s regrettable events, especially the trespass into the Capitol that went unpunished.

That occurred when Sen. Cruz questioned Kash Patel, then employed by the Trump Administration at the Department of Defense, on what had transpired on January 6 during the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing. Cruz was especially curious by the obvious absence of pre-existing security measures.

In response, Patel informed the senator who supports Trump that the Department of Defense had been preparing security for the event on the National Mall in the days prior. He said the DoD has specifically prepared National Guard members for a mission to protect the Capitol. But he stated that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Mayor Muriel Bowser of D.C. rejected that attempt to provide relief.

Sen. Cruz opened the conversation by posing a question regarding the Sergeant of Arms, who is primarily in charge of Capitol security and is said to have rejected proposals to deploy National Guard troops to guard the Capitol. “To whom did the Sergeant at Arms report?” inquired Senator Cruz. “The Speaker of the House,” Patel informed him.

Cruz followed up on that by pointing out that Nancy Pelosi was in command of the Sergeant of Arms at the time since the Speaker of the House was in charge. “Is it true that Nancy Pelosi would have been there at the time?” Cruz questioned Patel. “Yes,” Patel said to him, Senator.

Cruz went on to say that since Democrats controlled both houses of parliament at the time, it wasn’t just Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who was in charge but also then-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “And would that also be Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Senate Majority Leader at the time?” Cruz questioned.
