WATCH: DOGE Finds 10 Swamp Consulting Firms Will Rake in $65 Billion Taxpayer Dollars in “Systemic” Problem

In huge news for those wanting to see DOGE take an axe to the various forms of federal spending-enabled fraud engaged in by the sorts of Swamp businesses that are much despised by normal Americans, DOGE has announced that it is turning its sights on the sort of contractors and consultants who have leeched billions of dollars out of federal spending programs.

Amongst those financial leeches who will be hardest hit by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in its efficiency push are those consulting firms that have taken in billions of taxpayer dollars without justifying why they are collecting so much from the federal government.

Such is what Fox Business’s Hillary Vaughn explained in an epic segment on March 24, during which the cable channel commented on how federal consultants are scrambling to keep the checks coming as DOGE digs into their extravagant waste. Beginning, Vaughn said, “DOGE is turning its attention to massive government contracts, and consulting firms are scrambling to justify their funding”

Continuing, Vaughn noted that that the firms involved are going to have to grade themselves on how well they are utilizing the taxpayer dollars they receive, something sure to result in many infuriating, if also hilarious, disclosures about the ways in which the Swamp Creatures are wasting taxpayer dollars. She said, “Firms have just a week to write their own report card, the General Services Administration sending a letter to top consulting firms, telling them to grade themselves on how exactly they are spending billions in taxpayer cash.”

Building on that, Vaughn explained that the report card form sent out by the General Services Administration (GSA) will require that they breakdown their spending by project, showing DOGE is getting into the nitty gritty in an attempt to expose their waste and fraud. She said, “The letter saying they need to quote, identify each related contract and project and further breakdown spending by functional category”

Vaughn then referenced a recent interview in which Trump’s Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, explained how wasteful contractors and consultants have been like boa constrictors in the way they squeeze federal agencies, such as the IRS. She said, “Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said the chokehold these consulting firms have on government spending has shocked him the most since he moved to DC and started opening up the books.”

Further referencing that boa constrictor metaphor, the segment then cut to Secretary Bessent, who explained that the “entrenched interests” inside the Beltway, such as the aforementioned consulting firms, keep squeezing money out of the government. He said, “One of the biggest surprises for me is just seeing how these entrenched interests, they just keep constricting themselves around the power, around the money, around the systems, and nobody cares.”

Concluding, Vaugh explained how a major issue DOGE has exposed regarding federal spending is that contracts issued to the consultants are based on the time spent by them on a project, not how well they complete it, something that encourages more time to be spent on it, and thus more spending. She said, “The problem is systemic. DOGE saying that these consulting groups write contracts so that they are paid for time, not performance”
