Tom Cruise and Sofia Vergara were known to paint the town red together. But it ended soon after, and Cruise went on to tie the knot with Katie Holmes, and Vergara went on to marry Joe Manganiello.
But now, it seems both Cruise and Vergara find themselves single. But it seems Tom Cruise might want to change that fact for both of them…
Tom Cruise famously dated, married, and subsequently divorced Katie Holmes. But before that love affair, he was seeing someone else that a lot of people might not have known as much back then; Sofia Vergara.
The two of them reportedly shared a short-term romance back in 2005 before they parted ways and went on to meet and marry their future spouses. Vergara married Joe Manganiello in 2015, and Tom Cruise married Katie Holmes in 2006.
While Cruise and Holmes split up and called it quits in 2012, Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara just announced their divorce this past month. Now it seems, both Cruise and Vergara are single again at the same time.
A source close to Tom shared some details about his short-lived tryst with Vergara saying, “They do have that history already, even if it was more of a brief dalliance than a fully-fledged romance.”
The source further shared that the couple “had a special time together partying in the Hollywood Hills and having a blast.” The source also added, “Sofia wasn’t really giving out the signals back then that she wanted anything long-term, so it petered out in a totally amicable fashion, and they remained friends.”
The relationship came to an end and Cruise married Holmes the following year the two of them share their daughter Suri Cruise together from their 6-year marriage.
But even while married, it is claimed by the source that the action star never really got over Vergara. The source claims that Sofia “checks almost every box for Tom.”
While Tom Cruise might be ready to date, it seems like Vergara might want to take her time. Sources said that the actress is“going to let her hair down and party for a while,” and that she has plans to date again only “once the divorce is finalized.”
Earlier in the year, it was reported that Cruise was interested in dating Shakira as well after news of her split from Gerard Piqué was confirmed back in June 2022. She and Piqué split after 11 years together.
