Former U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to address anti-S.e.m itism that affects foreign students and pro-P alesti nian protesters.
This decree allows the deportation of overseas students who participate in anti-Israel demonstrations, part of the administration’s attempt to handle college activities that support H.a.m.a.s.
The executive order, signed in late January 2025, authorizes government agencies to detect and perhaps cancel non-citizen students’ visas for protesting. Administration
justifies this action by citing immigration regulations that allow expulsion of non-citizens who “endorse or espouse” t..e.r.r.o.r.i.s.t organizations, which H.a.m.a.s has been since 1997.
