There’s a lot of unrest with regards to how those in power are handling the California wildfires. The terror of climate change causes thousands of people to evacuate their houses and watch everything they own turn to ash. Moreover, there’s negligence on a state level, particularly with the malnourished budget to the fire department. Emergencies like these escalate from difficult to work with to impossible to manage. Governor Gavin Newsom Faces The Heat for How He’s Handling The Wildfires
Jillian Michaels isn’t alone in her opinion of Gavin Newsom if her replies are any indication. One person suggests that the fitness coach would do a better job managing this crisis. She doubles down by declaring her 12 year old child could step in for the job instead of the governor.

The scathing words don’t stop there either. The Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley appeared on CNN to voice her displeasures She highlights how Gavin Newsom and those in charge of the budget stripped funding away from the fire department in order to give even more money to an already heavily financed police department. Consequently, Californians live with these consequences and watch their homes go up in flames with little to stop it. “$17M budget cut and elimination of our civilian positions like mechanics did, has, and will continue to severely impact our ability to repair apparatus,” she states.
