The show Friends has a special place in the hearts of millions of people. The show skyrocketed all the actors to fame. This of course included the three actresses who played Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe.
Behind the scenes, however, people were unsure whether the cast got along. But as years have passed, it has become much clearer how all of them feel about one another.
Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow have all been in the entertainment industry for a long time. The three actresses got their major breakthrough roles together on the show Friends. And from then on, the actresses were relentlessly questioned about their personal relationships with one another behind the scenes.
Now, years later it might become obvious to everyone just how genuine their friendship has always been.
This week, Courtney Cox became the 2,750th person to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The occasion was marked with a lot of excitement and emotions. Cox had her friends Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Laura Dern all present to deliver speeches and testify to what an incredible entertainer Cox was.
Aniston and Kudrow delivered speeches that recounted their 30-year friendship with Cox. The speeches were equal parts hilarious and emotional.
Aniston’s said in her speech, “We’re very honored to be here today to speak on your behalf as your co-workers, your friends, and your family, your sisters.” She continued, “And that’s happened since we’ve known you for a very long time.”
The actress further added, “It’s been that way since we met almost 30 years ago,” then added a joke, “No, not 30 years ago. That’s a typo.”
“To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of that. From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, and interested in everything about you,” Aniston added in her heartfelt speech.
The actress joked about how Cox was the most famous cast member when Friends began filming. She also added how the cast would play poker together as a way to bond. Aniston said, “She hated poker. Like, loathed it from the bottom of her heart. But she played with us ’cause she wanted to bond with us.”
And later in her speech, Kudrow revealed that when Cox was not playing cards, she was renovating her house and teaching her castmates all about flipping houses.
“And I remember Courtney saying, ‘Y’all, look, I’ve made more money with the houses than acting,’” Kudrow recalled.
Aniston recalled how much Cox was like her character Monica Geller, “You really wanna hope that you don’t have any kind of, like, a stain or a spot on a wall or that a pillow is out of place or that a hair or something that needs to be plucked,” the actress mused about her former co-star’s attention to detail.
“So, I’m just saying, thank God this star is straight,” she deadpanned.
Then the duo got emotional in their speeches. “Courteney, we just want to say that we are deeply, deeply proud to know you. You are the definition of a truly beautiful, talented, and, what’s most important, a truly good and decent human being… Thank you for enriching our lives personally,” Kudrow stated, while Aniston further added, “You’re one of the funniest human beings on the planet Earth. Nothing makes me happier than a Courteney joke and always making us smile. And thank you for enriching our lives with your work. We are so proud of you.”
Later on, Cox returned the gratitude by thanking them in her own speech among other people.
The actress ended her speech with saying, “I can’t believe all my friends are here. It’s so nice.”
It is honestly so heartwarming to see that all three women from our favorite show are still friends with one another and genuinely care about one another. We are sending our love to the three actresses.
