Jamie Lee Curtis shared some poignant remarks about her friend and Curb Your Enthusiasm star Richard Lewis, who passed away at the age of 76 due to a heart attack on Tuesday. The comedian and the 65-year-old actress co-starred in the sitcom Anything But Love for four seasons from 1989 to 1992.
She took to her personal Instagram profile on Wednesday after learning about Lewis’s passing, with Bette Midler being the first to break the news. Curtis credited the late comedian as “the reason I am sober” in a heartfelt tribute, accompanied by vintage photos of the two of them. Jamie recently marked 25 years of sobriety. She recalled the casting process for Anything But Love and shared her fond memories of Lewis, emphasizing his talent and the special connection they had. Jamie expressed her grief over the loss of her good friend and former co-star in a separate post, including a line from the Anything But Love theme song and an old photo with Lewis.
