Singing legend Celine Dion issued a statement on Saturday, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s campaign for using her song without authorization at a recent rally.

According to Dion’s statement, her iconic hit “My Heart Will Go On” was played during a Trump and Vance rally in Bozeman, Montana, on Friday.

“Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana,” Dion said in the statement posted on X and Instagram.

The singer playfully commented on the song choice, saying, “Really, THAT song?”

“My Heart Will Go On” is famously known as the theme song for James Cameron’s 1997 film “Titanic.”

Other musicians who have previously objected to Trump’s campaign using their music include the estates of Sinéad O’Connor, Phil Collins, Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, Elton John, and Neil Young.

Nearly two years after revealing her stiff person syndrome diagnosis, Dion made a triumphant comeback performance at the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
