Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are “headed for a divorce,” RadarOnline.com has learned, which could cost them some big bucks.
The couple has built a high-profile and highly profitable empire together, but any separation could prove quite costly – as neither signed a prenuptial agreement.

Last year, the former first couple was said to be worth a whopping $70million – a far cry from the modest $800,000 fortune they acquired before moving into the White House in 2009.
The popular president earned a base salary of $400,000 during his eight-year stint as Commander-in-Chief, and since leaving the DC home, has pocketed an annual presidential pension totaling more than $207,000.
But the pair really cleaned up when they scored a reported $60 million deal for their memoirs, founded an entertainment company to produce content for Netflix, launched their own podcasts, and booked lucrative speaking engagements believed to pay as much as $400,000 a pop.
The deep-pocketed duo is also sitting on a substantial real estate empire worth another $20 million.
But without a prenup in place, a whole new battle could be brewing.
One insider confided: “When they split, which is looking more and more likely, it could turn into a nasty cash grab.”
The couple share a substantial financial empire.
Signs of concern over their wedded bliss have been growing for years, but recent events have raised some major red flags.
A source close to the couple claimed: “Barack is ready to move on, and Michelle is too. She sacrificed so much for him over the years, and she’s finally putting herself first.”
Another insider alleged: “They’re already separated and living apart. Divorce will come later and quietly. For them to admit the failure is quite humiliating.
Earlier this month, Michelle was notably absent from the funeral ceremonies for Jimmy Carter. RadarOnline.com revealed she decided to extend her Hawaii vacation and elected not to come home.

As for the couple, our insider revealed the pressure of their hectic and demanding lives has become too much.
The source confirmed: “Barack put immense pressure on Michelle to run for president – and she outright refused. He’s been blaming her for Trump’s victory ever since.
