Greatest regard for all of our armed forces members. We can never pay back the debt of freedom we owe them, but we can readily demonstrate our gratitude for it every day, not only on Memorial or Veteran’s Day.

You’ve never heard a better performance of God Bless America than this one.

That goes without saying, but this little gem you’re about to watch will give you a hearty dose of pride, adrenaline, and chills. This video serves as a helpful reminder of our deep love and respect for the armed forces.

I knew right away that this singing soldier would be unique when I first heard about him, but I was unaware of how unique.

I believe that you may only encounter anything this profoundly affecting once or twice in your lifetime.

When this US Marine finishes his amazing performance, you will want to give him a salute and shake his hand. You will, of course, feel very proud of our nation.

There is a rich history associated with “God Bless America.” Irving Berlin originally wrote it as a prayer.

The prayer was given life via singing in 1938 by Kate Smith, the “Cher” of the day. You ought to know about this incredible woman if you don’t already. The First Lady of Radio was the moniker given to Kate.

Wiki says, “She had a radio, television, and recording career spanning five decades, which reached its pinnacle in the 1940s. Smith became known as The Songbird of the South after her enduring popularity during World War II and contribution to American culture and patriotism.”

There is no need to introduce Irving Berlin. Not only does his name sound like the song, but he also has a fascinating past.

“Israel Beilin” was his original birth name. When he was barely five years old, his family left Russia and immigrated to America.

He wrote hundreds of songs before the age of 30, several of which went on to become big blockbusters.

He penned an estimated 1,500 songs throughout the course of his 60-year career, including the music for 20 Broadway productions and 15 Hollywood motion pictures.

His compositions received eight Academy Award nominations. I believe that knowing about that hardworking and prosperous American makes “God Bless America” much more meaningful.

Feel the man’s electrifying excitement and tangible pride when you watch the video below. Keep an eye out for that incredible moment at 1:48. You’ll feel motivated to get up by it. Indeed, God bless America. Amen.
