The actress passed away. She was most renowned for her roles in Peyton Place and It Came From Outer Space.

Claudia Cowan, her daughter, reported that her mother passed away in a state of tranquility.

My mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 p.m. this evening. She stated to Fox News, “I was with her this morning and am aware that she was anticipating my arrival home in a safe manner.”

“It is fitting that she opted to depart on Easter, as it was one of her favorite holidays. Consequently, Easter will hold a greater significance for my family and me.”

Not long prior to her passing, her daughter paid tribute to her on Instagram on her birthday.

In January, he composed the following: “She is a diamond, she is golden, she shines like the sun and glows like the moon.”

“Her age does not alter her beauty, sweetness, or wisdom.”

“In my opinion, she is 97 years old.”

Rush had a long and successful career that lasted more than 70 years. She worked with movies stars like Marlon Brando and Dean Martin.

The famous actress was best known for the melodramas she did in the 1950s.

She started out as an actress on the stage, but it was in the 1953 science fiction horror movie It Came From Outer Space that she got her big break.

She won the prestigious Golden Globe for most promising newcomer – female for this role.

After that, she worked with Frank Sinatra in the movies Robin and the Seven Hoods (1964) and Come Blow Your Horn (1963).

Rush also had a very successful TV career, but Peyton Place is where she is best known for her work.

She played Marsha Russell on the prime-time soap opera for many episodes.

GREAT PROFILE
Rush did more than just this soap opera. She played Eudora Weldon on NBC’s Flamingo Road (a different show).

Three times in her life, Rush got married and no longer was married.

Her first marriage was to actor Jeffery Hunter in 1950. The next one was to Warren Cowan in 1959, and the last one was to sculptor Jim Gruzalski in 1970.

Rush had spent the last few years of her life away from the attention of Hollywood.

She posted a picture of herself and her mother on Instagram in February of this year.

Cowan wrote at the time, “Time with my mom is extra special these days.”

“As her time runs out, I’m going to see her as often as I can to show her how much I love and appreciate her.”

“And, so that I know in my heart, neither of us has to worry.”
