During a particularly amusing segment on CNN, California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters was seen persistently adjusting her wig while discussing former President Donald Trump, fidgeting with it repeatedly on live television. As CNN’s Abby Phillip inquired about the Democrats’ strategy to overcome Trump in November, her wig malfunction occurred.
Phillip’s question arises as increasing numbers on the left, including the media complex associated with the left such as CNN, express growing disillusionment with President Joe Biden as both a leader and a candidate, citing concerns regarding his cognitive abilities. The issues were prominently showcased during his unfortunate debate with former President Trump on June 27, which was hosted by CNN.
Philip inquired, “They’ve observed President Biden, they’ve experienced his presidency, they’ve witnessed former President Trump, they’ve gone through his presidency, they’ve listened to these discussions about democracy, about the outcome of the election, and yet Trump is not only prevailing, but doing so by an even greater margin.”
She went on to inquire about the Democrats’ next steps and whether they intend to implement significant changes to their strategies in light of Trump’s robust approach. She inquired, “What is the strategy among Democrats to alter that course?” It seems you’re expressing similar thoughts, but do you believe any changes are necessary?
Waters, rather than remaining composed and responding to Phillip’s question in a typical manner, fidgeted with her wig for almost half a minute, specifically 26 seconds, while on camera. “I believe we should continue our efforts,” Waters finally replied, adjusting her wig as Phillip posed the extensive question.

Glenn Beck’s The Blaze tweeted regarding the incident, stating, “Maxine Waters has a notable hair malfunction on CNN while being questioned about Biden’s fitness for office 😂” A commenter remarked, “These individuals ‘lead’ the country.” Frightening. Participating in the lighthearted banter, another quipped, “I suppose that creature on her head has come to life and started moving!”
Another commenter contended that America merits a higher caliber of leadership than what Rep. Waters represents, stating, “And she makes decisions on behalf of the American people lol, seriously !!!!! We must begin to take elections seriously and remain engaged in the process of understanding who we are voting for. Do you agree?
Someone on X shared a clip from the video and humorously remarked, “Maxine Waters adjusting her wig live on air is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time 😂😂☠️.” Ensure everything is in order before your next broadcast. In a similar vein, another individual remarked, “If only Maxine Waters focused on the origin of Sam Bankman-Fried’s funds as much as she does on her wig.”
Even Bill Mitchell, who is known for his disdain for Trump, commented, saying, “Maxine Waters had a major hair malfunction on CNN.” She was unable to refrain from fiddling with it. It was both amusing and poignant simultaneously. Is she experiencing dementia as well? The leadership of the Democratic Party is quite aged. Are they all exhibiting symptoms of dementia like poor Maxine?
