Before the publication of the new documentary concentrating on his fight with Parkinson’s illness, Meg Ryan made her first public appearance in half a year with a show of support for Michael J. Fox.
Having made a deliberate choice in recent years to move back from the spotlight, Ryan, 61, has allegedly not been seen for some six months.
According to the Daily Mirror, she went out to assist pal Michael J. Fox at a screening of his next project, STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie.
Though admirers were fast to criticize Ryan’s new appearance, which some called “unrecognizable,” the couple was photographed together appearing pleased.
Though she had previously denied it, the Sleepless in Seattle star, who made her on-screen debut in Rich and Famous (1981), showed an exceptionally flawless skin, prompting fresh speculation that she might have engaged in plastic surgery.
Indeed, some expressed less than kind views on Meg’s new appearance online, so reviving a discussion the actress herself has participated in previously.
One Twitter user said, “This is Meg Ryan.” Women, one hopes, will learn from this. Frankenstein is for plastic surgery. Meg Ryan spent hundreds to make herself unrecognizable and ugly, said another.

Ryan has claimed in the past that she ignores much those who criticize her looks.
She candidly discussed the plastic surgery accusations in a 2015 interview with Porter Magazine.
“Frankly, I don’t pay much attention,” she remarked then. The world today is full of animosity. Judging is really simple. Imagine becoming a hater; how foolish.
Arriving for the aforementioned screening at Alice Tully Hall in the Lincoln Center, New York, the actress appeared to be in good spirits as she posed for photos with Billy Murray and Elvis Costello on Michael J. Fox’s big night.
Releasing a new documentary concentrating on his life throughout the three decades since his illness, Fox, who just admitted he didn’t believe he would live to see 80 years old,
First told he had Parkinson’s disease at age 29, the Back to the Future star. Though he first tried to conceal his illness, he has since emerged as a major voice in the battle for more knowledge and studies.
Fox openly pondered his own death in a heartbreaking recent interview, stating that his continuous fight with Parkinson’s was “getting tougher”.
To be honest, It’s getting difficult, it’s getting more difficult. The former actor remarked, “It’s gettin’ tougher.” Every day it gets more difficult. But, but, that’s, that’s how it is. I mean, you know, who do I talk to regarding that?
He said he had spinal surgery not long ago following a tumor discovery on his spine. Although it was harmless, it impaired his walking and he fell and hurt himself.
[I] broke this arm, and I broke this arm, I broke this elbow. I fractured my face. My hand was broken, Fox stated.
Parkinson’s doesn’t kill you. Parkinson’s doesn’t kill you; it lets you die. Its death has been on my mind. … I will not be eighty. I will not be 80.
