While speaking to Sean Hannity of Fox News, Karoline Leavitt, who now serves as Trump’s press secretary, explained how she triggered CNN so badly during the 2024 election that they threw her off air. Leavitt is a fierce defender of President Trump, and she’s often feuded with biased mainstream media, such as when she clashed with Kaitlin Collins.

For context, on June 24, 2024, Karoline Leavitt, then Press Secretary for Trump’s presidential campaign, was kicked off a CNN interview with host Kasie Hunt for repeatedly calling out the network on its clear bias against then-candidate Donald Trump. Hunt repeatedly asked Leavitt to stop criticizing the network, which she refused to do, prompting the host to end the interview.

As we reported at the time, Leavitt demolished CNN, saying, “It takes about five minutes to Google Jake Tapper Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper has consistently likened President Trump to Adolf H*tler.” Hunt was obviously triggered, and after this epic beat down, she abruptly ended the interview, as Leavitt continued to speak over her, undeterred.

Later the same day, while discussing this incident, Hannity asked Leavitt if this proved that then-encumbent Joe Biden was afraid to debate Trump. She replied, “No, he absolutely wouldn’t [debate Trump]. And the fact that President Trump is knowingly walking into a three-on-one cage match with crooked Joe Biden, fake Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, who have a long history of lies against President Trump, shows his willingness and his commitment to bring his winning message to every corner of this country.”

Continuing, she said CNN is afraid of addressing the truth. Leavitt added, “CNN censored me today because they can’t handle the truth, and they have been pushing lies about President Trump since he stepped into the political arena eight years ago. They propagated the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. They helped the Biden campaign censor the truth about the Hunter Biden laptop story.”

Then she pivoted to discussing an upcoming presidential debate. The courageous press secretary said, “…They have an anti-Trump bias that is at the core of their organization, and we should not expect anything less from them on Thursday night’s debate.”

Watch Leavitt explain her situation to Hannity here:

Despite the clear TDS infecting CNN, Leavitt says the debate will be an amazing opportunity for Trump. She continued, ” President Trump knows that, but he is still willing to step into the arena to fight back, to bring his winning message in this debate, regardless of it being three on one, is going to be a great opportunity for President Trump to highlight his strength, his willingness to fight for the American people, with Joe Biden’s weakness and his incompetent, terrible policies that are failing this country and CNN has largely refused to cover over the last three and a half years.”

Concluding her remarks, she made a prescient prediction about Donald Trump’s eventual victory in the 2024 election. She said, “They are an anti-Trump institution, just like basically every other main institution in this great country, and the American people are waking up to that shot, and that’s why, regardless of the lies that CNN and the mainstream media have been spewing about President Trump for years, he continues to win. ”
