Karoline Leavitt, press secretary for the White House, recently showed how the Trump administration intended to eliminate tariffs on several goods, including social security. Leavitt praised President Donald Trump’s critically lauded proposals, which call for eliminating taxes on social security, older citizens, overtime compensation, and more. The idea is being hailed as the biggest tax reduction in history for middle-class Americans.
Talking to reporters, the press secretary stated, “So these are the tax objectives of the Trump policies that the President has put out for members in that meeting today. No tax on tips, which is clearly a very public campaign pledge the President made. Leavitt said in detail, “No tax on seniors, Social Security, no tax on overtime pay, renewing President Trump’s 2017, middle-class tax cuts.”
Leavitt said, “Once more, these are the President’s priorities.” Changing the SALT cap. Abolish every preferential tax benefit for owners of billionaire sports teams. Eliminate tax breaks for made-in-America goods, carried interest tax deduction loopholes. She underlined the unprecedented size of the reductions. For middle-class working Americans, this will be the biggest tax cut in history. Leavitt stated, “The President is determined to make this happen with Congress’ help.”
During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Trump made a significant comment on his tax intentions last year, The American Tribune reported. The president then said at the time that income tax may be completely removed “there is a way.” Trump pointed to historical data showing that taxing the incomes of hard-working Americans was not the best way to create money.
The president was questioned, “Which is going to create a lot of income?” Also with the rates you mentioned. Given all this more income we will be bringing into the nation, my inquiry is So, do you think at some point in time we could find a way, if the country is back on its feet and generating enough income and paid off our debt, do you think it’s conceivable to find a method to eliminate federal taxes?
He first replied, “There is a way.” When we were a smart nation in the 1890s and all, this is when the country was fairly the richest it ever been. All tariffs were in place. He said it lacked an income tax. “Okay, now we have income taxes and we have people dying, they’re paying tax and they don’t have the money to pay the tax.”
Trump said, drawing on effective policy used in America’s far past, “You know, in the old days, 1890, 1880, we had so much money they had to set up committees, blue ribbon committees, how to spend our wealth.” Trump showed the great riches this legislation created by saying, “We had no idea how to spend, it was so much money.” See Leavitt below:
