Unless your living life like a Dappy or Robbie Williams song, you probably have at least one regret.
Maybe you’re the type of person who lies in bed at night thinking about that dumb thing you said during a year nine science class that you regret ever uttering. Or perhaps you regret you university degree choice or maybe a toxic relationship you ended up in.
Whatever it is, be honest, there’s probably something you regret.
But it’s also likely our regrets change over time because as we get older, our priorities obviously change in life.
TikTok creator Yaribrachi spoke to people in a video series about ‘something they regret most in their life’.
One bloke said it was that he didn’t ‘stay at home as much with his kids’ when they were growing up.
And another said people should ‘enjoy every phase’ of life and ‘cherish’ more moments.
Others said they would have ‘put themselves out there’ more and ‘open up to more experiences’, urging others to ‘be true to yourself, be true to who you are’.
But a common topic kept coming up in the older age groups as he asked: “What is something you thought was really important when you were younger but as you got older, you realised it wasn’t important?”
A 79-year-old responded: “Probably money. Even though it matters, makes it easier, but it doesn’t guarantee joy.”
Another pair of 70-year-olds also agreed: “I think having friends, family, keeping them close – your real treasures are breathing people, not things. The memories you make, those are the most important things.
“And before, when you’re young, the only thing that drove you is making more money. You realise it’s not that. The things that mean the most to me never cost me a penny.”

And a 73-year-old said the same: “Money. It was always about making money and having money.
“As long as you have enough to eat, keep a roof over your head, you’re good.
Plus, an 83-year-old added: “When I was younger, life was all about what I wanted to be and it was all based around money.
“But as you get older, you start realising life’s not all about you. Life goes by too quick.”
Well, there you go lads, it’s not all about cash in the bank.
